Hypnotherapy for Fertility

If getting pregnant was simply about having sex at the right time then the world would be a much happier place, sadly for many it is not that easy.  The mind/body connection is so strong when it comes to conception. Hypno-Fertility effectively supports the conception process whether that is natural or assisted by supported you through one of the most important and stressful times of your life: Pre-conception, ovulation, fertilisation, implantation and beyond.

Hypnosis can be used safely and successfully before and during conception and throughout pregnancy for a wide range of health issues.

Negative thoughts, emotions and behaviours can all lead to increased anxiety and sometimes depression, getting in the way of your goal of conceiving. The hardest thing to hear when you are trying to address fertility issues is, ‘you must remain positive, try not to think about it too much.’

But actually trying to relax is the hardest thing in the world when your mind is consumed with trying to conceive.

As a treatment it is growing in popularity because it has no negative side effects and can be used safely in pregnancy when women's other options are limited.

How does it work?

Our minds are incredibly powerful and the link between our thoughts and our physical body is undeniable. Our conscious mind can only focus on a few things at any given moment in time, but our subconscious is much, much bigger and is constantly processing the world around us and storing information away.

Hypnotherapy works with your subconscious mind to help overcome unwanted habits, behaviours and physical responses that have been stored throughout your life, whether wanted or not.

What does it feel like?

If you've ever found yourself drifting off mid-conversation or getting lost in a movie or a good book then you have experienced an altered state similar to hypnosis. It is a comfortable state, similar to daydreaming where you remain aware of what is going on around you yet completely at ease, undisturbed by background noise.

Contrary to popular myth, a hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything that you don't want to do and will not 'put you under'. You are able to stop the session at any time should you wish to.

Hypnosis is achieved in pregnancy though a deep state of relaxation, something that you can then practice at home enabling you to be relaxed and stress free.
